Tom Kerridge launched a £15 lunch menu at The Coach in Marlow

Tom Kerridge has launched a £15 set lunch menu at three of his restaurants amid the cost of living crisis.

The Michelin-starred Coach will offer a deal ‘too good to believe’ along with Kerridge’s Bar & Grill in Corinthia London in Whitehall and Bull & Bear in Manchester.

Kerridge started a similar initiative during the 2008 financial crisis when “people were very worried about the money in their pockets”.

The chef launched a one-choice lunch menu that “didn’t make any money at all but filled the bar with noise, excitement and laughter”.

Now in 2022, he says “it seems like those times are here again” and he hopes the set lunch menu will have the same effect.

“The goal is to bring back the excitement and attraction of restaurants without guests having to worry about spending a lot of money,” Kerridge said. “Taste the good times at a fraction of the price.”

“Please come join us and, most importantly, make a reservation in London, Manchester or Marlowe.”

He told the Manchester Evening News: “People are under a lot of pressure right now, so it’s good to be able to give people the opportunity to go out to a restaurant without necessarily having to break the bank.

“It will not make us any money but we hope it will also help motivate our employees. When you have a full restaurant, it creates a lot of buzz and excitement and people thrive in that space.”

Classic bars and school diner favorites will be available, such as cottage pie, lasagna, caramelized onion sausage, and roly-poly jam.

A third course can also be added for an additional £7.50.
