‘Lunch with Mr. Lincoln and Friends’ at Alton Little Theater on October 8

Alton – As part of “Extra, Extra Entertainment” for the Alton Little Theater (ALT), ALT is co-sponsoring the fall activity with The Post Commons, “Lunch with Mr. Lincoln and Friends” at 11:45 a.m. on Saturday, October. 8, in Post Commons.

Dinner will dine up to 60 guests at a four-course heritage lunch at The Post Commons, 300 Alby St. , in Alton. The menu will include fall sangria and other alcoholic beverages in the banqueting room and guests will enjoy remembrance of the region Randy Duncan as Abraham Lincoln. He will be joined by Amy Miller as Mary Todd Lincoln, Michael Cox as Robert Todd Lincoln, Marjorie Handy as author Elizabeth Keckley and Lee Cox as Special Visitor from the South.

“History, storytelling and cuisine is the most joyful way to celebrate the arrival of autumn and the rich history and contributions of the Alton Little Theater to the region,” said Lee Cox, CEO of ALT.

ALT is the oldest continuous community theater in Illinois. ALT recently launched its 89th season of Showplace’s main stage productions, a full lineup of concerts, touring artists, and private engagement plays, all professional in their standards and commitment to the community at a fraction of the cost of many big-name professional theatres.

Extra series entries, the final Extra of the season will take place in 2023, with “Sinatra: Last Call,” February 10-12, and “Gee’s Band: A Tribute to Women’s History, the Art of Quilting and America’s Heritage,” March 24-26 . Tickets for both are now on sale on the ALT website.
